I recently have been working on stretching my 2 door JK along with adding the TNT Guardian front bumper for better approach angle. After the stretch is complete the JK should sit at 105"

The jeep currently has been built and sits like this.

I removed the front bumper and winch and began to install the bumper, I decided to pick up som DOM tubbing to sleeve the frame for the 1/2 bolts along with welding flat plate to box the frame back after cutting the frame.

I ordered the armor from River Raider off-rad to perform the comp cut and the brackets for the stretch came from Rock Krawler.

While waiting on the armor I began to cut the body on the JK for the fenders and remove the axle and brackets from the frame.

After cutting the driver side we had to relocate for the fuel filler, so we moved everything forward behind the driver door which makes this pretty easy to do with the piping they currently have on the JK

I received my lower control arms along with the upper from a local friend that used 2" 7075 drilled and tapped for Johnny joints.
I had already 3 linked the rear when I lifted the jeep and converted to a long arm.

Rock Krawler make a spring bucket that will mount at the crossmember on the rear of the JK which will allow you to do an 8" stretch, I then installed ARTECs axle spring perch and moved the mount 1" forward for a total of 9"

The armor has arrived and I can begin to fit to the body. The armor bolts to the body via riv nuts which I will only use if I have to. While cutting the body I opened up a good area in the wheel well where I can use 1" flat stock and weld nuts on the back sandwich the armor to the sheet metal. I kept my front fenders which have some odd angles so most of the slider was cut and bent to fit around the armor. I still have to stop by the local hardware store and pick up some bolts along with countersinking a few holes on the sliders. The pics have a few hex bolts that I had to use for the install.

I have finished the install for the armor and have a few items that I need to install before paint, which will include square tube 3" fender flares to match the boxed look on the front along with welding angle pieces on the inside of the armor to mount the fender liner that will be made out of 1/16" ABS plastic.

Also installed on the JK is a synergy full weld in cage kit with frame tie in which I will tie in the rear part of the cage while waiting on parts to come back from paint.

I am currently waiting on my rear drive shaft from Carolina driveline along with a tire carrier from teraflex for the spare which I need to test fit before the armor goes out for paint, I will post up pictures as I get more finished on the JK

Look good man, I have the same bumper and love it. Probably going to relocate the control box for a cleaner look one of these days. How is the fit and finish of those rear fenders?

Yeah I thought about relocating the box as well and just running a switch set up from 12voltguy.com

The fit of the fenders were not that bad it's just that the JKs are not as straight as the TJs so you just have to work at it a little more. River Raider is about the only place that offers a full rear armor and not just a corner. If you know the look you want and take measurements they will cut them for you for a cleaner look for about 50 bucks.

We have pretty close build... Looks sweet! What area are you in?

I am in Cornelius, I seen your jeep on the trails at DADFL at the Flats but when I parked I never seen you again, I wanted to stop by and check everything out and pick your brain. I was with ED and some of the guys in my TJ.

You will love the 105" wheelbase. I've been rocking that length for a year now and it is night and day different than 100", much less 95" . Cool build ;-).

Greg glad to see you finally made it onto NC4x4! This is Dustin. The Phatchick is looking good bro. Hell ive been on here for over 4 years and im still to lazy to start a build thread and have 100s of pics! lol

Yeah I waited a while to make it into the forum thing.......lol

I can't wait to finish this thing so I can test it out at the flats!

Me and some of the guys are planning to go to the flats at the end of the month if you want to wheel with us. A few guys are wanting to hit sloppy joe

We have a work day on the 31st and the James Davis Benefit ride is the following weekend. I will be there both of those saturdays. Maybe we can catch up on June 6th for the benefit ride. I have got my wife talked into going with me for the 2nd time ever!!!!

Started working on cutting and welding in my fenders for the comp cut. I started out with 1 1/2" square DOM and some 3/16th flat plate supplied by Race City steel. I marked out the armor and began cutting! Here is where I am at so far.
