Tire holding air without a rim...

Saw this at the local tire shop today, never seen a bubble this bad before, it had a bubble inside the tire just as large as outside, still had air pressure in it.

Tire tumor, stop with tumor at bottom, put blocks under axle, let air out, put on spare, no jack needed.

I'm surprised that whatever hit the tire that hard to break the belts and make a bubble that big didn't just peel it off the wheel, or seriously mess up the wheel hub.

I think they said it was a tire they put on a camper trailer for someone, person took it home, the next day it was sitting in their yard with a tumor. I am sure if that had happened going down the road it would have shredded.
