NC4X4 Hunting and Fishing

20 yards off the in-laws porch. Got a stand on the same trail.

Got some down time here at the shop and was planning next year's hunting setup... can't decide between my 18" 308 bolt gun, my 16" 308 AR pattern rifle or my 7.5 inch 300blk or lastly my Henry .44 mag. Any shot would be under 120 yards. Open to any other suggestions (building another rifle is always an option)

I use a Ruger Gunsite Scout. 16" barrel in .308 with 5 round magazine. (Optional 10 for when I start missing)

Love it. Favorite gun ever. Haven't hunted with anything else since I bought it. And won't, until I get my Maine Moose tag and bring out the 1886 .45-70. (which had better be 2026!)

All that being said. There's something... soulful... about using a lever action.

I think you have the same camera that they use to photograph Bigfoot with lol.

Nah, that's a newer model :D. I wish the pictures spypoint sends were better. The actual pictures are pretty good off the card.

For serious. What's the best trail cam these days? From my personal experience, spy cam is terrible. My cousin uses wise eye, and they seem to be pretty good. Not the most cheap option, but they seem to communicate well and have quality pictures.

I don't have one (yet), but I will be getting some wise eyes. I've got a discount code if anyone buys one from Born Again Bowhunting.

I run spartan cams. Had 3 of them with solar panels for 4 years now and haven't touched them since I hung them.
