ok so about five months ago, the lift pump died and killed the injection pump. Replaced lift pump first, no fuel from injector lines. Changed lift pump, all was well.
Month or two later, complaints of intermittent lack of power after extended drives. Fast forward to recently. Turbo can be heard spooling, but no boost by mechanical or on board monitoring. Turbo spins freely, no axial shaft play, minimal radially. Lost even more power post turbo rebushing. Changed injection pump again. Gained power back but it's still like it's naturally aspirated. Did a boost leak check. No leaks. Boost sensor matches mechanical gauge. Fuel pressure 10psi under load. Apps/TPS smooth reading. At my wit's end with this thing.
Impeller to housing clearance is .007. also the injection pump voltage on the scanner are 1.8 volts lower than the pcm battery voltage... Thinking this might be part of the issue.... There is no smoke from the exhaust. It's not rolling coal like one would expect if the injection pump were sufficiently fueling the motor..... Ideas? Tannerite or thermite is sounding good.
