Ok so in and effort to learn more and not spend any money on this parts xj I tried to get it to turn over so I could get a compression test done on the motor. Starter starts to engage then it sounds like it looses contact with flywheel and sounds like an electric motor running. I'm probably going to pull it and pull it apart and see what I see and clean it. Never done this usually just buy new and return the core. Any ideas on what might be wrong here or is it a waste of time?
