I have been saving my pennies for a while now to do this work. I just finally dropped my jeep off at Mars Fab to get some work done. Plans are for a cage, 4 link rear, new belly pan, and to rework my the tubes on my sliders. While there I am also going to mount my new seats, tube fenders and rear corner armor. Also going to install front and rear lockers and rear cromo shafts.

Dont have a lot of pictures yet, but here are some of todays progress.

Here is where the front tube goes through the dash (Chris kinda leery of cutting holes in my dash). I think it turned out great. Looks almost factory.

I will post more pics as more progress is made. Let me know what you think so far.

Looks good, nice work from MarsFab

How are you tying front tubes into the tub? Weld, or bolt-in/able to remove?

Going to have a base plate bolted to the floor with a matching plate under the floor to sandwich it in. There will be a tube from the lower plate to the frame rail.

lookin good

glad to see you got started on this! chris does such great work

Yeah I was just by there tonight and he had a little more done. I stoked about his work so far. It all looks really good. I cant wait to see the finished product.

Still have a long way to go though.

Thanks for all the comments guys I appreciate it.

Mike your camera takes much better pictures than my phone. I gotta start using my digital camera for this stuff.

The brackets are screwed into the cage and are both made just for the items there holding. Thanks for looking out though

Its made so that the defroster is completely functional and the VIN plate isn't blocked in any way. As far as removing the top plate on the dash we had to sacrifice in turn for being able to keep the windshield as open as possible. To get the top plate off the dash he will have to unbolt the front of the cage and loosen the back to hinge the cage up enough to get it out.

Oh and it's not actually quite as low as it is in the pictures I just had it sitting on the dash. I didn't look at the pic close enough.

go ahead and take the 2 screws our of the top of the dash bezel that was you can take the dash off to replace radio of to fix heater controls. its a known fact tj's have problems with the heater controls ive fixed a couple here. looks good.

Well I thought I would have an update for you today, but my dumb ass took pictures tonight with no card in my camera. I guess I will retake them thursday when I am over there.

On the plus side the cage is almost done. Couple more tubes to cut and finish welding. Then on to the fun of painting it all. I will get some pics up thursday night.

Got it covered today. Made a lot more progress. Cage is done except paint. Got the tube fenders on, and one of the quarter protectors on. Here are the pics.

That is awsome. nice build so far, and um.... I like those green axles too! :D

I really like the bars running front to back in the cage. Some of the best looking I've seen.

I agree. I could not be happier with the way the work is turning out. I just wish I could have pulled more cash to get more work done on it. Its already going to be like a whole new jeep to me though.
