Specs: 07 Tundra, 5.7 V8 with 183k on the clock.

I have a death rattle and I can't find the damn thing. So far I have replaced water pump, idler, tensioner, fan belt pulley, radiator, and thermostat. The noise is getting worse. I can't seem to pinpoint it down but it sounds like its coming from the passenger side front.

I tested the fan clutch by running the truck and then sticking a magazine into the fan..fan didn't even stop. I then noticed that the alternator pulley had some movement in it. The alternator was replaced about 3 years ago with from advance. From my experience, alternators usually die a whiny death. I also don't think its the timing chain as the sound is definitely coming from the passenger side and not the middle of the engine. The noise is constant and fluctuates volume with rpm. I've thought about taking the belt off and starting the motor to remove all the accessories to see if its the timing chain. Would this be advisable?

Its gone from bad to worse in the last month any ideas?

I agree with pulling the belt to narrow it down. Get a video running like that also, just wouldnt run it too long. Hard to hear for sure but sounds like something along the lines of tc rubbing housing or something. Pick up a 5 dollar stethoscope and start probing, i bet that gets you really close. Also maybe sounds like dry/gritty brushes in alternator? Could try blowing it out with air real good then run a whole can of electric parts cleaner through it(battery disconnect of cpurse and let dry for a while) but yeah pull belt first.
