O.K.
I need some input on Chevy 6 Bolt 1/2 ton axles. I have around 425-450 Horsepower, Turbo 400, 3800 Stall, and 4:88 Gears with 44x19.5x15 Boggers. If I replace the front Axle shafts and C/V Axle shafts with heavy duty Universals, and replace the rear axle shafts, all with Chrome Moly Shafts, could this hold up for mudding? I've always used 3/4 ton to 1 ton stuff, I'm just trying to get a little more ground clearence! Give me your input.

I've broken chromo shafts in my 44hd, with a stock 350, and 39.5s in a yj, but that is in the rocks. Might be different in the mud.

If you have that much money in the drivetrain and are going to dump that much more money into axles that you know are not up to the task, why not spring for a set of custom axles. A shaved/rotated 60 front and rear with the clearance of the 10 bolt and the strength of the 60.
Maybe one of these?
