I installed a 1.25” body lift and 1” raised motor mounts on my 05 TJ I bought new back in 05…but that was 15 years ago and I have old timers.

I do not remember installing any transfer case brackets or having any issues shifting the case.

I also don’t remember having any issues going into 2nd, 4th or reverse.

The Amazon reviews seem to be done by folks who can barely tell a ratchet from a wrench but I read about the two issues above.

Is there any need with a MML to add a Tcase shifter bracket and should I expect any trouble with the trans popping out of gear?

I want to eventually do a tummy tuck.

Will there be much difference between the JKS kit over the cheaper RC?

As for a tummy tuck, will my factory Rubicon cv driveshaft be long enough with 3-4” springs? Since some folks do 4.5” springs I would assume so.

Just plan on switching to a cable shifter. We have Novaks on both of ours.

RC= REALLY CRAPPY IMHO.
This may be true for this kit or other RC components. But I don't like this logic.

I've got a forged front track bar on my JKU from Rough Country that is every bit as good as the Tera flex version. Their rear track bar relocation bracket is also a quality product as far as I can tell.

I understand they got a bad rep due to some of their lift components (springs, etc?) and issues in the distant past. But I wouldn't comment against them without specific knowledge of the product in question. YMMV.

IMHO you are wrong but you know what they say about opinions. I have never had or know anyone that after abusing RC parts that said I think I’ll buy more of that junk. Way better engineering and parts quality for a few more doll hairs out there for me to go that route again.

Agreed. Their 2.5" TJ lift is great. Progressive rate springs and good shocks. Their short arms are fine, too. You can't really hurt 1/4" wall poop pipe.

Not sure how you can go wrong with a body lift, but I don't have any firsthand experience with the Rough Country one. I found a JKS open box for cheap and went with that. Their chunks of plastic were just fine.

I second spending another $150 or so on a cable shifter. We have Savvy's on our two TJs. The one with a tcase drop wouldn't shift into low range and I suspect that a BL would result in the same problem. Savvy makes a aluminum BL too. The Jeep forum guys swear by it, but I'm not sure sure it's that much better.

I have a Savvy saved in my Amazon Jeep list

The body lift should come with the tcase linkage bracket, maybe you just don't remember installing it?

I did a 1" body lift, MML, and tummy tuck all at the same time and got away without touching the factory linkage, but everything moved up together. When I did the LS, I switched to cable shifter.
