1 ton TRE question

In the process of the YJ build and ran into a steering issue. Running 1 ton TRE's on the tie rod and stock jeep size TRE's on the drag link, its a cut and twisted V8 ZJ piece. On the the 44 I had, the TRE set below the the knuckle. On the 60 it sits on top of the knuckles, making the drag link on the back side of the tie rod. Any body know of 1 ton TRE where the small is tappered so small hole is tappered from front to back? Need the drag link to be on the opposite side of the tie rod as in the pic. Thanks.

Run a tapered reamed through it from the other side?
 
Re-taper the hole. We do it all the time, so does ECGS. They sell that TRE ready to go with the taper correct if you want.
 
Nice to know, that made life a easier. Now, who has a reamer I can borrow....
 
If yours has already been reamed for a larger tie rod end you will have to get a new one to start with since there will not be enough meat there. From the look of the picture you will need to get a fresh one to ream from the opposite side.

Drill it through to 5/8" and then ream it about .7" deep depending on the tre you are using..
