12.5" tire on 7.5" wide wheel??

Was thinking about running a 33x12.50 on 17" Moab wheels, which if the internet is right, are 7.5" wide. I understand it would be easy to wear out the center, but was just curious if anybody had real world experience with it.

Poor mans beadlocks, no real world but you should be fine.

I've got real world experience with 33x12.5 on15x7" wheels, and well...it was easy to wear out the center tread . I ran around 25psi or so on my CJ on the street, and it still wasnt low enough. Never lost a bead offroad though.

I ran 33x12.5 and 35x12.5 on 15x7.5 wheels with no issues.

I've run a 35x12.5-17 on a 7" wide wheel. Had to run 18psi to get a full contact patch, but other than that, no issues.
