There are a slew of small mini-air compressers out there in the last year or so.. I'd like to slap a small ~$40-$60 air pump on the tow rig for general tire inflation duties etc..

Anyone running one ? And brand better/worse than the others. This this will see very little use, but I'd like something more studier and powerful than the POS pump/flashlight thing i spent to much on when I was in a pinch..

What ya running !!

I bought one from Pep Boys that was about 50 that I have been impressed with so far. Cant remember the name off the top off my head but Tsunami comes to mind. It was posted all over alot of the boards with good results too. Outperformed many of the well known name brands such as quick air, etc. HTH SB

It's the Master Flow MF 1050 made by Tsunami and it is the best small air compressor by far. I put it up against my York and on a 36" tire. From 8 psi to 30 it was not a bit slower. I don't remember the time exactly but I'm thinking it was only a couple of minutes.
Watch the Sunday papers from Pep Boys and they go on special and you can get them for $40-$50.

I am putting the tsunami in mine and partnering it with a 2.5 gallon tank so I can run it dual purpose for impact wrenching and tire inflation. I just haven't seen it on sale. As soon as it goes on sale it will be in the towrig.

Any other good 12v air compressors at other stores? Evidently we don't have Pep Boys in Asheville...WTH?

What are the specs on the Tsunami one? I couldn't find it on the Pep Boys website.

I got one of the Master Flow MF 1050 Tsunami from RQ's advice and it works great. The compressor body looks like the Viair compressor.

^^ dangit why does it have to be in Raleigh! Is there any way to order from them online?

Scratch that. I called the Greensboro store and they have them as well. Will be picking one up this weekend.
Am I corect in understanding it coems w/ fittings and a cool bag?
