Not sure of the terminology here but I am looking at swapping in a 1350 Yoke on my 9", and thus will need a new "yoke" on the end of my driveshaft.

My current yoke on the driveshaft is a 1310...slides off nicely...so my question is where/what is a good source of the 1350 driveshaft "yokes" (The smaller end, about 10" long or so, slides onto the splines of the dshaft...not sure I am using the right terminology)

Look for? 3/4 or 1 ton trucks and vans or? I have heard they are a dime/dzn, just need to know what I am looking for at the junkyard.

Well, the red circle shows the piece on the dshaft and you can see the YOKE on the 9" in the background.

Adding an antiwrap bar would obviously help too!! :flipoff2:

It's also a yoke... DS slip yoke end, etc.

Oliver,s Drive Shaft in WS should have what you need in stock, if not he can get it in a couple of days.

What I am looking for is...say, "They are in "most" one ton trucks, etc" In other words to get the dshaft part should I just snag they yoke off any 1 ton and it will likely work? (Number of splines pretty universal on the dshaft?)

The more I think about it, I might as well spend a bit and get the 1350 instead of spending cash for another 1310? (The flip side to this is get another 1310 and then weld up what I have as a trail spare, just good enough to get back off the trail)

I run Universal Auto in Concord just looking at the picture it looks like you have a shaft with a 16 spline that is 1.5" O.D ---- that would be a spicer # 3-3-488KX (1350) I keep em in stock new for---- $48.34 along w/ u-joints.
It's called a slip yoke, and the one on the rear end is called a pinion yoke.

give me a shout 704-721-3319
