15x10 8 on 6.5 2.75 BS

4WheelParts sells them. They are called reverse wheels. Oh and just in case you don't know ( I did not at the time :shaking:) you can't use weld on bead locks with them just in case they are on your future list.

What keeps you from running diy beadlocks?...the width or backspacing??? I was wanting to do the same thing but on a 15x8 on 2.5bs.

The shallow BS wheels, 2-2.75", are reverse center wheels, which means the shell is flipped backwards from normal. This requires you to mount the tire from the back side of the rim, but you still have to get the outside bead of the tire over the outside edge of the rim which is wicked difficult to impossible from what I have read. The best option for beadlocking reverse center rims is to use Staun internal beadlocks and a rock ring welded to the outer lip for protection.

makes sense then...anyone know what the cutoff is for reverse wheels....guess 3.75"bs would be ok to use for weld on beadlocks?

It seems like anything less than 3.25" is most likely going to be reverse center from what I have seen over the years. The reverse center rims generally start at 2.75" and go down to about 2" from what I have seen.

I'm actually trying to find these for a buddy. He has an 80's model surburban and wants to put 15" wheels so he can save some money on tires in the long run. So the backspacing is just so he can clear the calipers.

Yes it is, but get 16's as they are more common. If he wants to save money you can get used 16's really cheap since most full size trucks have that size.

He wants to buy new tires. It's a DD for him so my suggestion to him was to get some all terrain retreads, but well I think he just wants new. I'm gonna go compare some prices on tires for him as well. Maybe he just hasn't looked around enough.
