I have recently aquired a 1977 F150 with the 400, c6, np205 combo. i havent been able to find alot of info on these trucks searching the web as far as what works well. I am wanting to build this truck to use to pull my boat to the river and also to wheel it. I was planning on doing a 4 inch lift kit, but i want the suspension to work good offroad. I am wiling to sacrifice some onroad drivability if it works good on the trail. the truck will only be used to pull stuff and wheel, as i have other means of transportation. I want to run 35's, and prob gear it 4.56. what lift should i get? i would like to do it on the cheap, like always. it has a 9 inch rear and d44 up front. Thanks in advance for the info.

It's basically the same as a 78/79 Bronco. I have one and reccomend to put a kit together yourself. It can be done for about $250

1. front springs
2. tracbar drop bracket or adjustible tracbar
3. shackle flip in the rear
4 extended brake lines
