1980 toyota not startig

A buddy f mine has an 80 yota 20r will not start the battery is fully charged. It will start and turn over if you touch the starter with a hot cable from the battery but not turn over or do anything with tring to use the key.

igntion switch is bad, blown fuse, air, fire, and fuel make the combustion engine go round and round.

not turning over at all if i touch a jumper cable from the battery to the starter it will star

so the truck will run once started using jumper, if so the soleniod is bad on the starter, disconnect the small wire from the starter have some one turn the key see if your getting 12 volts there if you are the soleniod is bad probably just the contacts in the soleniod have gone bad, theyh can be replaced for about 10 bucks
