what gears should be in there stock, 4:10's? would it be at least highway drivable with 35in. tires? it has a 22re, 5spd, and sas. it would only be temporary but i dont know how much power the 22re has or how the clutch would handle it.

thanks, that's a great site i had not seen before but this is just a hypothetical question for a truck i do not yet own. so let's assume 4:10's and 35's.. do you think this is good enough for street driving?

(sorry if this should have been posted under the noob category lol)

Probably not. It's pretty underpowered to begin with. Not sure exactly what you need, but 31-32 is about max for stock gearing on a yota.

they'll pull it, it will be hard on the clutch starting, and if you wheel it like that, you will burn up the clutch pretty quick. but strictly road drving it will be feasible, just shorter clutch life. 5.29's are just about right for 35's

yeah, i thought it would be ok for a while until i got 5.29s. i know you do gear installs, have you seen many broken 5:71s? whats your opinion on that gearset? (non cryo'd)

5.71 gears

Stay away from the 5.71, I bust mine. When I called around trying to find a replace set about everyone told they had or were stoping production of them. When Randy's ring and pinion stays stay away, STAY away....
