Well I figured I'd start me a build thread since my Cherokee is actually starting to take shape. I got the Cherokee from Mattb6679 last month.

From the day I bought it.

Had to play a little bit in the yard.
I took the flares of the second day I bought cuz I hate the way flares look on Cherokees. I bought some lift shackles from spraypaintman, haven't put them on yet.

Well today I got myself some 31s but I didn't have my front spacers installed so I started cutting & hammering

Future plans include finishing my bb lift upgrading the tie rod & shocks wheeling as much as possible this summer. Chrysler 8.25 swap or Ford 8.8 swap 4.10 or 4.56 gears get 2 more inches of lift via coils & aal so I can upgrade to 285/75/16 Goodyear Wrangler MT/Rs.

Did some work on the jeep today got the 31s installed on the back called literally every tire store in Asheville & finally found a hell of a deal on a matching 31/10.50/15 AT KO for the front.

Sprayed some Flat Black around the fenderwells where I cut so I wouldn't get any rust. Tires should be in Thursday so I'll have pics up Thursday afternoon with the 31s all the way around.

Went and put the front tires

Then I had to play in the mud a little bit while not M/T's they grip a hell of a lot better than the stock car tires.

Right now I have a grand total of $1510 into this jeep. I want this build to be proof that you don't need to have a lot of $$ to be able to go out & hit the trails. Next step of the build will be a 8.25 swap shackle lift in the rear & F150 coils to bring the nose of the jeep up.

make sure you got some front bump stops! you'll be guaranteed some rub/slicing there up front, even with the trim job.

I plan on that mine look pretty ugly

Went & wheeled down at The Flats open invite today & had a great time meet some good people & wheeled the piss out of the Cherokee. The Jeep surprised the hell out of me no problems whatsoever did all but one obstacle I tried nothing broke except for my magical self disconnecting rear sway bar still have no idea that happened (Thanks to edjonesjeeper for pointing that out). I also want to give a big thanks to the guy in the blue flat fender tj for helping me in the playground when I got high centered.

You definitely will man I plan on making as many wheeling trips as I can this summer. I'm also hoping to be joining the Trailjammers this summer.
