Hey guys, Im new here and have never really posted before. I own a white 93 yj with 128,000 miles. It has been driving fine except with a little bit up grinding from first to second, and second to third. But recently when at a stop, shifting from third or fourth into first becomes impossible. Its like something is blocking it from both first and second. I recently found out that if I come off the clutch briefly I can squeeze it into first. Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome!
Thanks.

Synchros is my guess, could double clutch it to milk her a little while till a rebuild.

I'm gonna go a different direction and suggest the problem is in the clutch hydraulics. I've seen master cylinders not hold pressure internally and cause difficult shifting.

x2, that was my second thought. Plus it would explain why it came on kinda quick.
