1st time home buyer in Wake maybe Durham

HI All!
I have noticed some of you are from Raleigh/Durham area and i am looking for a little advice. My wife and i are looking to buy probably around Holly Springs/ Apex area. I would like the price to be around 130K.

Can those of you who live in that area tell me what you think? Any neigborhoods that you think are nice? How are property taxes?

ANy and all advice would be great. Hopefully within the next few months i will finally have a shop set up!!! in my own garage at that!!

You'll certainly get more footage for your dollar in Holly Springs, which is why I bought there. Holly Spring's city tax is pretty high IMO, but they really seem to plan for the future when building infrastructure, and it is the fastest growing city in NC. (Also was the safest for violent crime in the state last year)

IIRC, about half my proprty tax was Wake County, the other being Holly Springs.

I hate living where there's a HOA, but it'll help the property values when I sell, so i deal with it.

There's so many new neighborhoods popping up all over that I can't even begin to list them all... I bet the town hall could help you with a listing... It's right in the middle of town..
