So I bought a 1994 Wrangler with a 2.5. I was driving it around for the last week or so when
I had the rear freeze plug go out, the one on the block not the head. I had to remove the tranny to actually see and get to it. When removing the tranny I noticed that water got into it ( I was assuming from the freeze plug). I don't know how hot the motor actually got since my temp gauge was not working at the time (now fixed). I installed the freeze plug, and put everything back together. Started her up everything works fine, no overheating, no water leaks, no missing, no smoking, everything is great. Went to change the oil I noticed it was a little milky, did a compression check. The readings where from 135psi to 145psi, so that checked out. My question is, is it possible for water to get into the tranny just from the freeze plug leak, and maybe that same water got some how got into the motor?? Or maybe the PO got it a bit submerged? There are no other issues except for the milky oil. I decide not to change the oil yet, and I just parked it until I investigate a bit more. I apologize for the long post, any advice would be great. Thanks
