I recently sold my old DD to a buddy at work and he wants to lower it back to stock. When I got the truck I put the ("leveling" kit/stiffer front springs) on it to raise the front end now he wants to lower it. My original springs are long gone so I am hoping one of ya'll have lifted your F-250 and still have the original springs laying around maybe for sale...Thanks for any help!

When I did my leveling kit, I added springs to the stock ones. Depending on what kit, he could just remove those.

Yea I actually did the conversion and it was a complete leaf pack replacement. They really made the truck ride like crap cause they were so stiff but I liked the stance and height so I sacrificed. This is what I get for selling a truck to a buddy. I'm just trying to help him find what he's looking for. Thanks for the idea.

Michael, I did an add-a-leaf in the rear that gave me about 4 inches and the front pack gave me about the same lift. When I bought the front set and mounted them and then saw how much stiffer they were I called the shop where they came from and asked if there was a different set for a diesel and he said no. I got used to the stiffness. I believe the brand is Rough Country for the front and rears. I'll bet he would be interested in a trade. I'll see him in the AM at the fire station so I'll find out more then.

Thanks for the info Franklin. That could explain for the stiffness but it never had any kind of sway problems while towing the trail rig. In fact I towed an empty car hauler to Milwaukee and brought the Bronc home and towed like a dream once I got it in the right spot on the trailer. I have no way of knowing what the originals were without doing more research than I want to nor what the replacements are rated for (Diesel/gas, 250/350, tow/no tow) I towed with it for 4 years and had 0 problems but I love my new tow rig!!!

You are welcome. I have the reverse problem. Some dumbass Ford engineer thought it would be smart to put softer springs in a heavier Excursion. My fronts are 3/4" off the bumpstop and have dearched. New Vcodes from the dealer run about $180-200 if I remember correctly
