I have to replace the ball joints on the pass. front.

Before I tear it down

Question,

Does it take a special tool?

Thanks

A ball joint press makes the job a LOT easier. You can usually rent them at parts stores. Other than that, no special tools are needed. You can pry against the inner axle yoke to get the axle and seal to slide out of the knuckle.

Ok cool thanks

Just rented the tools from Advance Auto. Was $150 bucks, but you get it all back when you return it.

I have the ball joint tool, I wasnt sure if it had a funky axle nut or a giant snap ring.

Thanks
