I have a 4x4 2001 Dodge Dakota 4.7L V8 single cab. Its my daily driver but i eventually want to turn it into an off roader. I'd like to go ahead and start doing some stuff but i'm not sure where to start and i don't really have alot of money to spare right now, if anybody knows any threads that i can look at to get ideas or can point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it

thank you

You can crank the torsion bars to get a little lift in the front and add a block or overload to the rear. You can get about 1-1.5" without overdoing anything in the suspension. You can MAYBE put 32's with the factory wheels or after market wheels with close to factory backspacing. You might get some rubbing depending on what brand tire you go with as some run closer to advertised size than others.

On your next tire purchase just go ahead and buy some good streetable mud tires like MT's, Cooper, BFG's and such. A good set of tires will get you farther than you think, even if they aren't any larger than stock. Then get some recovery gear to help get you un-stuck which you will be sooner or later. Just have fun with it, don't get in a hurry, this addiction will last a while.
