2005 impala ss 0 to 60

Me and my drunkn buddy are arguing over his stock impala going zero to 60 in 3.5 seconds. Im telling him that his car would need some juicebut he swears and also swears his car is also fastest than a stock corvette for that year.

Unless his is not stock, tell him to keep drinking. Here's what I found on Wikipedia:

The 2004 to 2005 Impala SS came equipped with the 3.8 liter (231 cu in) supercharged L67 V6 engine.[4] It was rated at 240 horsepower (180 kW) and had been previously used in the Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, Buick Regal GS and Pontiac Bonneville SSEI. The lightweight front wheel drive sedan was actually quicker than the vaunted 1990s Impala SS, with 0–60-mile-per-hour (0–97 km/h) times pushing 6.5 seconds compared to the earlier models' 7.1.

vs. the 2005 Corvette from Autoweek magazine:

0-60 mph: 4.91 sec
0-100 km/h (62.1 mph): 5.15 sec
0-quarter-mile: 13.27 sec @ 110.3 mph

Most certainly it's possible, and the car won't even move!!1

2005 Imp SS is a 3.8L supercharged V6, front wheel drive, you hammer the throttle on wet pavement and it'll smoke the hides as fast as you dare spin 'em ! speedo will read any thing you want it to provided your willing to by the tires for it.

Now, in real world acceleration , quick google search yeilds http://www.modernracer.com/chevroletimpalass.html 0-60 time of 6.8. quick but......

Twicw the displacement, almost double the HP for near the same curb weight, not happening.
