I think yall have been getting more rain, but might want to taste them first. My parents decided not to can this yr, as the beans have a bad taste from being so dry.

Too late to turn back now...she said they got 49 quarts and another bushel to go lol. Im no expert, but it feels like the rainfall has been pretty decent this year though.

We are just getting blooms so I hope I can get around any dry beans issues..

The bush beans are making beans pretty good or running beans are just now flowering. All our peppers are starting to get big, pumpkins are blooming and running now so hope they start making pretty soon

Mom fixed some of this years beans for dinner last night. They were delicious as always.

She said she had heard from a friend who bought a bushel to can that they were tough and flat and she was only able to get 7 quarts out of that bushel they were so bad.

Mom been putting the squash to good use. Made a couple hotdogs at 9:30 last night just so I could eat some of it.

Same. Same every year also. I'm canning, pickling, and freezing every few days. Tomatoes and corn may break my gardening spirit in a few weeks.

When I'm retired I can see me going bigger and selling. Not enough time to properly weed the garden right now.

My buddy does it. He doesn’t do anything but garden from March- September after work and weekends. He does make some good money, but I like being about to go to the lake.

My trash can is going to smell pretty bad by Tuesday evening with the pile of dead squirrels in there. Tree rats are demolishing my tomatoes right before they're ripe.

Too much effort for a tree rat. Although my dog has turned into a decent squirrel dog. She likes to crunch their heads after I dispatch them.

Sorry...meant to get back to you sooner but we were on vacation and it slipped my mind!

My mom said after she did the recipe below she finished them in the hot water bath canner.

She made one batch with some Serrano pepper in it but it didn’t have as much heat as we thought it might.

Some corn. First we've been able to grow. At least 2x this amount more to go.

I weeded the corn this morning while it was cool. Amazing how fast grass can grow. Rain last night had the ground tacky and it is definitely therapeutic to get your hands in the dirt.

I Miracle Growed mine today and had some bugs so I Sevined it too. Now its raining like a MFer!
