22r (built)

They started out at 96 or so, so anything is an improvement. LC Engineering has cams, Headers, etc for relatively good prices. Just remember that HP costs $$. The more HP the more $$. With $4k you could build a 300HP 22r, but it wouldn't be very reliable or get good mileage, so what exactly are you looking for?

I know a lot of people on pirate use his parts. A lot more affordable than some of the other toyota motor builders.

Not sure what his products produce HP wise...

Write enginebuilder, and tell him what you got and where you want to go. The guy is a well seasoned mechanical engineer and sells good value parts. Can't say that about LC. More fuel and air will give you the HP. Carb, exhaust, cam will be good starts. Head work with larger valves plus port polishing and port matching will provide benefits. A damn good rebuild with balancing and more compression will turn that little mouse loose. Don't forget to degree the cam especially if the head has been shaved; ANY amount! If distributor has points, a recurve with lighter advance springs will be necessary. Pack a lunch and get started. 150 HP is doable, 170, Hummmm?

My $0.02
