Im sure this has been covered in plenty of other threads but this one is about me!

One of my friends bought a welding machine with the intention of keeping it at my house. Its way too big for what we need but his $$$ not mine and now I have a tig setup. Miller dynasty 350.

I have 230v 3 wire hook up for my mig and plasma but this is a 4 wire. The machine is capable of 3 phase or 1 phase. What is the proper way to hook this up? There is no plug on the machine, he said they had it wired straight to the panel. Not looking to create a @jeepinmatt situation.

Black hot
Red hot
White neutral
Green ground

Same as 3 vs 4 wire dryer

Isolate the red wire, connect white and black to hot and green to ground. Those machines can automatically adjust to the input voltage without internal changes.

You can just put a 50 amp 3 wire plug on it if you dont want to hardwire it. Max amp draw is 43 amps for 220v input.
