258 CI with Weber 32/36 - Timing?

I have just installed a Weber 32/36 DGV on my 1986 CJ7/258 CI. I understand the Jeep recomended Timing is 9B TDC but Weber states that the Timing will likely need to be advanced and suggest 12-14B TDC. Does anyone have experience on the best Timing setting? How do you tell it is the right setting?
