a reliable 3.0 with a bad head gasket?

I'd want to open it up and see what other damage is done before I'd even be willing to put a price on it. THose engines will self destrcut quick when the head gasket blows.

Toyota was going as far as replacing short blockd , sometimes full on rebuilds due to the headgasket issue. many never really had much problem until you looked inside.

$50 rebuildable boat anchor ?

Another issue to look out for. When you are pulling the head, the head bolts have a tendency to break off in the block.

tell me the price you're lookin at payin for one. I know where one is that would go for cheap but I don't know whats wrong with it. It's in a bone yard.
