the throttle body on the LS1 is 3 1/2" in diameter. I need a piece of tubing , be it flexible or rigid , that turns 180 degrees so I can mount the mass air sensor and the air filter, there isn't enough room in front of the motor. Any ideas? I have about 4" or so between the motor and the fan on the radiator so if it were a rigid piece it would need to make a fairly tight bend.

On most all of the swaps we do we use diesel exhaust tubing and we'll cut and weld it at what ever anlges or positions we need, and then smooth out all the seams and paint it up real pretty like.

The above link is of a '51 chevy business coupe we did from the frame up with a supercharged LS2 and T-56 dynoed at 568 and a little over 600Lbs of torque, it shows the intake tubing I was talking about. -steve.

you could use 3" tubing and have an exhaust shop flare the end out to 3.5".

Or get a turbo piping boot, have the TB->Boot->MAF->Filter, and have it firing straight out but nice and short.

I had the same problem on my conversion. I used bits and pieces from these guys to get the right setup put together. It works well and was pretty cheap to do. IIRC my setup doesnt go any further forward than the waterpump before it turns 180 degrees. check out the pics of the s10 stuff particularly and they have been plumbing LS1s for a while now.
