3 speed tranny

Rebuilding a CJ7 and working on the transmission. When shifting through the gears it will shift into 1,2 and reverse however, it will not shift all the way into 3? Any suggestions on what may be wrong? Thanks.
 
haha, i dont even know what they are, im pretty sure its a T-150 and i pretty much just know how it should work. Ill try to find them out though tonight when i get off work.
 
The transmission is not on the vehicle, it was already out for a rebuild of the vehicle and i just cleaned it up and re attached the shifter and it doesnt seem like it wants to shift into 3rd. it will shift up to 3rd about half of the way but it doesnt seem like it wants to lock in there like it should. Could it have to do with the shifter rods or something like that?
 
It could very easily be a buggered shift fork. I've got a complete T150 sitting in a box unassembled if you need any parts.
