Far enough along that I can consider it "complete".

77 CJ5
SOA and stretched 9"
AMC 360
T150
Dana 20 Tcase
Scout Axles
Lockrites F&R
5.13
Twin stick
Beadlocks
36 TSL
Cage tied into frame & rock sliders
xrc8 winch

Rebuilt every bit of it. Frame off. Handmade the body with the exception of the hood, firewall/cowl, trans hump, and about 1" of rail around the top.

Wired every wire, turned every bolt, welded every bead. That's a good feeling.

More shitty pics (sorry it was getting dark)

Thnx yall. Oh, and the picture album works now. I accidentally had it set to private.

Super clean....I'd be scared to wheel it.

I think I'm just gonna go hit it with a sledge to get that outta my mind.

Next? I've gotta finish up a few small things. Twin stick shifters needs some changin. Might stretch the back axle out 2" more. Possibly a grill hoop and some tube fenders. I've also got a few things I need to redo. (when I started this I bolted several things that should have been welded because I was just learning to weld. Well, I trust my welding now and I just need to tidy up some things.)

Lookin out a couple of years or so the plan is to put some one ton's under it (probably 60/14) and link it with larger tires. For now I'm just gonna drive it and see what exactly needs to change and have some fun.

The center of gravity of the thing is pretty low and while thats a good thing it makes for a lot of droop and only a few inches of compression. I'm considering changing it around a little with some beefier springs. I think I may have removed one leaf from each spring pack to get it to sit down some. Hopefully I don't start snappin leafs.

that's nice man. Only thing I see wrong which may not be wrong is the T-150. I swapped mine for a T-18 and made all the difference in the world. but I see your running 5.13 in the axles so that makes up the difference most likely. But your also running an in taller tire than me. If you haven't had it on the trail yet you will make up your mind real quick if your gearing is low enough. Give her hell!!

believe me, I'd stick a T-18 in it if it was free.

Burke County! or Burke Country as I like to call it. I'm orig from Valdese. Where do yall wheel locally up that way now? I'm itch'n for a shakedown run.

looks good. killer work. but I might have you beat on the longest build time. I bought my truck in 06. not finished yet. the only local area is brown and the flats

Brown doesn't really have anything to offer does it? I use to ride dirt bikes up there and camp at Wilson Creek but I didn't think it had more than a couple easy 4x4 trails.

The Flats are private in Marion area correct?

The flats are having an open ride 5/28 - 5/30 (Check events) I had a good time at the last one and I was all stock.

Bought it for $300 with title in Stanley NC.

Stretched it out a few inches in the rear. Tire was rubbing one of my cage tie-in bars and some of the fender.

Down in the gulches before stretch.

Yea. I'm actually from up around that area. I've just gotta come by a free weekend. Looks like I've got stuff planned from now till the end of June. Gulches was the last trip I got to make.

Picked up a T18 with a granny gear for $100 yesterday. Has the short input shaft. This should double my crawl ratio and bolt right up. (going form 31:1 --> 66:1)

would you be willing to send me the cad file for the tub and all? I am building a cj7 with a 6bt and rocks and it would save me alot of time not having to create the tub. I'm building a full tube chassis, and hanging factory sheet metal on the tubes. email is ryanpro50@hotmail.com

thanks man that is a bad a$$ jeep you built, almost too pretty to drive!
