I was wondering how difficult this could be. My jeep is a '84 CJ7 and has a Jeep 6 in it now. I will not be climbing or mudding with this Jeep. Just want it to sound good and have power...any ideas

Its not "difficult" but it is involved.

Depends on how much you value "sound good and have power"

Take whatever you expect this swap to cost and double it in time and money and you will be in the ballpark, then ask if its worth it.

It sounds like it's a little more than I want to get into. I would have to pay to have the work done and the Jeep is costing more than I expected...just like everything these days

Its not horribly difficult and not overly expensive depending on the radicalness you plan on going. The 302 is a good candidate due to its smaller size. You can find a midly build 302 easily for pretty cheap these days. Get an efi harness from a 92 gt and its pretty simple to wire up.

If you're really wanting the sound, swap me your 6 cyl for my AMC 304 V8. It has headers and dual exhaust w/ glass packs. I just want your 6 complete w/ exhaust. If interested, pm me. BTW, if you drive it here, I'll do the swap myself.

When driving down the road on my CJ7 and you take you foot off the gas the Jeep pulls to the right, pretty severly...any ideas what this could be?

It's called "torque steer". Usually associated with a rear locker of some sort but still detectible with a lifted rig of any type.
