you will find the 304 stamped into the side of the block, it is a fairly big number, you may have to remove some dirt and oil from 15 years ago to find the number

The '72 TSM isn't much help... only says the "H" denotes that it's a 304... assuming the valve covers are original. Lack of alpha suffixes say the bearings were all std. sized
