304 intake manifold gasket

my intake manifold was leaking so i went to replace it, When re-installing manifold, i can not get all bolts to start. I've tried about 4 times today, cleaning dried rtv and reapplying each time. Right now i have 9 of 12 started, last time i had 8, but the ones that won't start are different bolts in different places each time. I think the manifold gasket is shifting slightly under the intake and keeping the bolts from starting. Any suggestions? Or if anyone in the Apex area will wrench for beer, let me know
 
Got it figured out this morning, a good tap, a lot of cleaning and patience and everything fell together, thanks anyway
 
Those tin gaskets are a PITA! I used a long pin punch (though the holes) to manipulate the gasket while not letting that boat anchor intake set down on the heads...

Sounds like you got it figured out! :beer:
