im getting some mall terrains as new street tires today, and im running low on wheels. ive got a set of factory 15x7s and a set of 15x12's. neither seems like a very good option, but whats the lesser of the 2 evils? im thinking the 15x7s. any ideas?

well if it was me and I only had those 2 options I would go with the 15 x 7. just my opinion though. good luck.

i run mine on 10's, wouldn't want any wider for any reason. If that's my only choices, go 7's.

watch your pressures on the 7's, though; the centers will wear pretty quick

elliot what pressure where you running? i know you DD your jeep dont you?

with 33's I ran about 30 psi. I got really good mileage out of my BFG M/T's with this setup and rotated them every other oil change.

I'd run the 15x7's. Just drop some psi until you get an even contact patch for good wear.

yep...just get out the chalk and figure your pressure...

I like my 15x8 & 36x13.50 setup...and yours would be pretty equal...

I ran 33x12.5 BFG ATs on 15x7s for a couple years on my CJ7. Daily driven except for really shitty weather. I tried to keep 25-28 psi, but the center still wore more than the outer edges. Oh well...:driver:
