Does anyone think this is going to work. I bought the jeep some time ago from a estate auction. The old man had a jeep T-150 3 speed in it and i exploded it. Got this SM465 out of a 3/4 truck and it has a 205 tranfer case in it (i think) I cant weld and it appears that a crossmember will need to be made. The clutch linkage will also need to be extended and then there is the driveline angle issue. The jeep wont see extreme abuse but im not against a trip to uwharrie with it. I dont have time or the facilities to finish it and it has been sitting for 2 years now. I also thought about moving the motor/trans forward a few inches to help with driveline angles. If anyone is interested in fixing it for me tell me what you think. I can get it to you if that will make it easier.

I would do the work, but I don't think you want to trailer that thing all the way up here to PA. You definitely need to move that engine forward, as far as you can get it. There's no way that you would have any flex with that short of a rear drive shaft. You have plenty of room for the front shaft.

If you have the clearance, I'd change it over to a pusher style fan, and like BigTex said, move the combo as far forward as possible. Aside from that, you need a lot more firewall clearance than you have now.

Good call on the firewall clearance and pusher fan. Definitely a must.

clearance the rear wheel wells to move the rear axle back, stretch out the wheel base some?

After reading my post I wasn't real clear on what I am looking to do. I want somone to finish this for me and I am willing to pay them to do so. What do you think it should cost and if your interested in doing it for me, shoot me a email on what you think it will cost.
