Started an Implant procedure with Dentist recently. Amazing what 3d has expanded into. Sticks a wand in my mouth, scans existing teeth, bone, gums, cavities, etc. Then 3d prints what for all intents and purposes is a jig to align the drill bit perfectly so the implant itself ends up where he wants. Just as amazing is the software that brings all the data together is up on the screen, presses a button and it designs the crown such that if fills the space. He can tweak but wow. I don't think they're at the stage of 3d printing the crown but likely getting close. Oh, the tiniest, coolest, stainless torque wrench I've ever seen to install the implant!
