4.7 or dual cases??

Dual cases.....
More gear options
better drive line angle
lower than 4.7:1 (5.2:1)
2 low
4.7:1.....
Don't have to mess with d-shafts, floor, x-member
ether really low or really high gear ratio in reverse
if you do all the work your self just the adapter is cheaper than the gears.

Though you could always do this if you have any doubt.....

what do you have to do to have dual case besides adapter plate

Dual cases due to the options, its nice to have. The driveshaft angle is a big plus although the extra cost kinda hurts at first but well worth it. Also if you want to get technical with driving in the future you can drop 4.7s in the back and do it without any mods. 4.7s are great to get out there for a lot cheaper and have a very noticable difference on the trails. Both are good but depends on the money situation and the intentions of the truck now and in the future. I give pretty killer deals on those parts so let me know if you're interested.

I think dual cases are a better choice over the 4.7s, if you dont mind the extra work involved.
With dual cases you get high, low, and super low, 4.7s only give you high and super low. IMO more gearing options is always better.

4.7s would be cheaper and just as effective......you have less extra costs such as drive shafts crossmember...cutting a hole in the floor. I have dual cases and i use low low all the time. I very rarly use just low. I would be just as happy with a single case with 4.7s

Depends on the type of terrain you want to do. IT is nice to have all those options with the dual case, but it now gets more complicated and if youdo not know exactly what gear ratio combo youhave with e sticks you will spend more time rowing throguh the gears. 4.7 is simpler, easier and cheaper. For me I am debating between 4.0 vs 4.7. I think the 4.7 would be a little too low for some trails.

I've run two sets of dual cases. A set of stock duals (33" tires") and my current setup of duals w/4.7 in the back case (38's). Never run just a 4.7 case but those I know who have ended up making it into a doubler for the gearing options.

The doubler gives you more options and IMO is worth the extra time and money.
