I figured when Ali Mansour came on board their company that we would see more Uwharrie stuff in the magazine. And so we did have that very short coverage of Rocky Mount Loop with the white Nissan(or what is Toyota) a good number of issues back. But as I have been reading tech articles and other non-uwharrie related articles I started to think the pictures looked a lot like Uwharrie in some cases.
I could have sworn in a few cases that the pictures were take at Uwharrie, and then I saw the "Twisted Metal" article in the Sept. 09 issue currently on news stands. There is a white XJ coming up what looks like the mud rut/turn on Saw Mill, I remember seeing a video of it on youtube. And then I took a closer look at the big picture of the green TJ on the other page and saw a trail marker post. If you look it reads "Slab Pile".
Even though I bet I am not the first to notice this, I think its a cool to know that even if Uwharrie isn't mentioned pictures from URE are still making it into the magazine more than most may know.
