Got a Jeep D60 front and rear. Converting the rear to disc. Going to remove the proportioning valve and run a Wilwood adjust for the rear. Was wondering about what master cylinder would work best. Im using GM 3/4 ton calipers front and rear. Talked to a guy at BDOR event this past weekend and he was telling me a about a unit from a E-350 that worked great but i think he said he was using on a disc/drum setup.

I use a 78 mercury marquis master and I have 4 wheel disk with chevolet calipers all the way around, it works great, but i do need to add an adjustable proportioning valve becuase my rears look up before the fronts.
A corvette master is also a good option,
the e-350 is best for disk/drum setups

disc'd setup

I run CJ with disc'd D60's with the chevy 3/4 calipers F&R with the vette with power brakes. bolts up, but needed to make a simple spacer for the pushrod. I cut down a piece of dowel pin, easy enough. I took out the factory prop valve and put in the summit version. brakes are great. good power and good pedal feel. feels firm, but not 'tweaky'.
FYI, the ('68?) vette part was in stock at Autozone for like $19. you will need to get the line adapters for another buck or two.
check it all out on Pirate.

The E350 master is great for disk/disk because it bolts into a YJ. If you have a CJ then the vette master bolts up to the booster. It is different between the CJ and YJ.

I did a 4wheel disks on my EB. I started off using a F250 "camper special" master cylinder with out any assist. I later added a Hydroboost booster. The booster came from a Astro so it had a Chevy pattern for the master cylinder. I ended up using a '79 Corvette master cylinder. It worked great by itself, just the rear wheels would lock before the front if I really laid on the brakes. I then added a Wilwood adjustable brake valve and solved all my troubles.

Im running 1 ton ford calipers on the front and 3/4 ton chevy calipers on the rear, stock TJ master cyl and proportioning, and an adjustable proportioning valve inline for the rear, turned to nearly all the way out (out being the least possible pressure). While its no sportscar, Im really happy with it, and have been running it like this for over 3 years.
