Which of these do most of you recommend that have possibly ran one or the other or both? If I go with the 40" TG's I'm ditching my body lift and don't have to buy new wheels. If I go with the 42" MTR I'm keeping the body lift and I'll have to buy 17" wheels. Truck is my dd so tread wear is a big factor.

I had a set of 33"trail grapplers on my excurison that had a trailer behind it most days and the had 55k on them when i sold it and he is still running them......

I'm running 40 Nitto TG's on my 1-ton XJ that sees a good bit of street use and I absolutely love them for their on road performance (and price!). I've yet to test them in the rocks, but seems like the bulk of reviews say they are holding there own for what's considered a dual purpose tire.

Another for the nitto. A buddy is running them in the 40" flavor and wheels out west and drive his truck to the trails. He has nothing but good things to say about them

I probably told him that a dozen times....

The MTR's are a terrible road tire, I'd go with the Nitto's any day of the week over basically any mt.

The procomp comes with a 40k mileage warranty.

My next choice would be the toyo.

I have a hard time understanding justifying the extra cost of $115-$200 per tire for this application and intended purpose, but I will gladly listen.

I guess the nitto TG could be worth it if they last 28% longer than the procomps. That would equate to needing to last to 51k miles to break even, if you figure the procomps are done at the end of the mileage warranty at 40k miles.

To the OP what size wheel do you currently have, and what are these going on?
