Anyone in the boone area! What is road conditions like up there now. I am thinking about going to mountain city. Thanks for info!

Just was up there today.

Main roads, not TOO bad, but 321 from outside Blowing Rock to Boone is slushy mess, which will probably freeze over at night. I would assume the same for 421.

Didnt see 421 directly though. I can say, any side roads are going to be a mess.

Make sure you top off your windshield washer fluid...you'll need it!

the roads are clear every where, banner elk had a little on the roads nothing much, oh yea i topped off the window washer fliud with 20 below and it still froze on the windshield

Looks like every where is clear up here. Parking lots might still be iffy though.

For winters up here, you need -35 windshield washer fluid. That seems to do the trick.
