Who makes an adapter to mate a 42RE -> D300. AA didn't have it listed on their website and i can't find it on any other websites or catalogs. Any ideas? Only reason I'm keeping the POS tranny is because its gotta fresh rebuild and a shift kit in it. Thanks in advance.

I bet you can sell that pretty easily and buy a aw4 which has an adapter for the 300

Hey man,
You should not need an adapter to go between the 2. The 42RE has the same rear pattern as a 231 and so does the 300. You will need a clocking ring to make it all work easily. I am assuming you are going to flip the 300? Give me a shout and we can chat more about it.

i've already got the clocking ring and flip kit. i may be giving you a call if i get hung up on something.

How thick is the clocking ring you got.....there are some special requirements for what you are trying to do.

the ring is approx 1" thick, can't tell right now as its back home while i'm in school. Other than some of the mounting holes maybe needing to be oblongated what else would need to be done to it?
