Figured I'd reach out to the NC4x4 knowledge and see if anyone has something useful to add. I pulled my truck in the service the trans this weekend since I haven't ever done it, plus I've been having the common 48RE shuffle.
Disassembly/Resassembly went fine minus the fact the lower spring for the valve body accumulator was never put in (grabbed a used one from Pull-A-Part Sunday). I replaced the OD/Lockup solenoid, Gov Pressure Solenoid (BW upgrade unit), Transducer, and 3-4 Accumulator spring with the beefier one.
Test drove great but after one take off at half throttle or better it'll throw a P0868 code. This is a pressure related code, some definitions say low some say high. All the research I'm finding points to a bad gov pressure solenoid. I'm planning to drop the pan after work and swap the old gov pressure solenoid in. Hopefully that will band aid it well enough as I'm leaving for AOP Thursday morning.
