4RUNNER LEAF SPRINGS-NEED HELP

I just got an 88 4Runner and I noticed it sits about 2 or 3 inches lower in the back than my 86 4Runner. I looked at the springs, and the 86 has 5 leafs and the 88 has 4. Is the 88 missing a leaf or does the 86 have an extra spring?

i think the 86 has an extra. stock toy rears are 3 leaf + overload.

i could be wrong
