This is my 86 4Runner I got back in June. It came from California. I took the top off on the third day and kept it off all summer. The top is for a fj40. I had to have the back straps shortened and I used a piece of conduit attached to the roll bar to push up in the center. The top is held to the roof by a 2x6. I cut it to fit the contour of the roof, drilled the bolt holes to match the roof and used a router to cut a groove on the back side which the wand sewn in the top slides in. And I used a velcro strap to hold the conduit up. I have a total of $56 in the top, counting the 2x6,conduit and velcro.
