The 2011 East Coast Offroad Racing Series Coal Creek OHV Area/Windrock Park is just two weeks away!
NC4x4 will be on site in Oliver Springs, TN, to share updates on the week's activities and cover the main races LIVE right here!
This will be a true endurance race with wide open spaces, hill climbs, tight winding trails, tree-dodging and big rocks! The course will cover trails outside of the OHV area, opening up land normally closed to the public. Each class will have a time limit to complete a given number of laps, totaling 120 miles for C, 80 miles for B and 60 miles for A and U. Drivers' skills, cars' capabilities and teams' ingenuity will all be tested to their limits at Windrock!
The main races are Saturday, November 5, but the action isn't limited to just one day. Tech Inspection and pre-running will begin Wednesday, November 2, and teams will need the extra time to learn the course and ensure driver and rig are ready for the main event!
Along with the Series Classes, Windrock will see the introduction of an exhibition race for 2wd VW rail buggies in Class V.

The crew of 4X4 Nation will be there shooting for an upcoming series to debut on the Discovery Channel this winter! They may need some help moving around the property and ECORS is also looking for volunteers.

Come by the NC4x4 tent to say 'hi' or pick up some swag. Check out the vendors in attendance, like Busted Knuckle Films and 4x4Cross.

About Coal Creek OHV:
Trails range from gravel roads to extreme mountainous terrain. Most trails are rated “moderate” and include mud, small rocks and small hill climbs. The more “difficult” rated trails will include off cambers, tougher hill climbs, rocks, mud and should only be attempted by experienced riders. There are over 250+ miles of trails now open in the area. All trails are marked with a trail number, degree of difficulty and vehicles allowed on the trail. Some trails are restricted to ATV and Motorcycle use only. There are plenty of different trails for all types of vehicles and adrenaline levels. There is also beautiful mountain scenery around every corner. To access the OHV area you are required to have a Land Use Permit. Each person entering the area, regardless of age or activity must possess a land use permit while using the OHV area.
Camping is available for teams and fans at Windrock Park. There are hotels and Bed & Breakfast establishments for those looking for cushier digs.
