They will/should have tape  or ropes placed on the course to prevent folks from skipping the obstacles. As for the pond and a few other places...I think there should at least be a log layed down to help prevent folks from going off into the gullies. This will help the crew keep from having to stop the race to extract people from deep places, which will take a while. Overall, I think the track is awsome and makes driving and reacting skills a BIG factor.
